The Tea Is: Fall 26 is Coming Home!
Helllooo everyone!
I’m Katelyn, a Fall ‘25 baby, and I am your New Member Educator! (Fun fact: I was Sarayu’s NME!)
As a freshman, I remember nervously staring into the sea of strangers on Speedway, wondering if I would be able to find my place at UT. I longed for my childhood friends who I had known since elementary school, and thought, “How could I ever find people as kind and genuine as them?”
Now, as a sophomore, I look into the sea of Bluebonnets at GM and think, “How was I lucky enough to find people as kind and genuine as them?”
I have met the most supportive, compassionate, and ambitious girls, and I can confidently say they have become my second family. A family where I see a familiar face no matter where I go (even if I get horribly sniped in I-Spy). A family that’s down for anything, anytime. A family that always shows up for each other no matter what.
Bluebonnets has truly become my home away from home, and I am immensely grateful it has brought me girls who I’ve made some of my best college memories with. Memories that will last a lifetime, like going to a heated rivalry rave with my awesome biggo, attempting a backflip off a barge, and going to my first (and last) haunted house.
I have truly never been a part of a community where I have felt the amount of love and support I feel from every single Bluebonnet.
Thank you to my biggo Maddy for always being there for me when I need it most (and bringing me free leftover sushi from her job). Thank you to Becca for genuinely making me fall to my knees in laughter every time I see her. Thank you to Aarohi for always remembering the little things that no one else seems to think of.
To all my future kiddos, I am SO preggo and cannot waiittttt to meet you!!! You have an AMAZING semester ahead of you, SO GET EXCITED!

Hi yall! My name is Sarayu Shashikiran, I’m a Spring '26 baby, and I’m one the New Member Educators of Texas Bluebonnets for the Fall 2026 semester.
Though I only joined Bluebonnets last semester, the warmth and sisterhood I found here made it feel like home from day one. In such a short time, this organization has given me a community I truly can’t imagine my college journey without.
Recruiting as a spring sophomore, I thought my time to join a spirit organization had passed. Despite my nerves, TXBB was the first org where I felt like I belonged and felt comfortable the minute I walked in. You know when people say they “just get a feeling” that they fit in? That’s exactly how I felt at that moment. And now I’m so glad I get to be your support and right hand man through your baby semester here in bluebonnets.
Truly, one of the best parts of my college experience has been my Baby semester in Bluebonnets. The girls in my Baby Class have become some of the people I know I can always rely on, no matter the situation. Bluebonnets gave me the opportunity to meet people I may have never crossed paths with otherwise, and I am so grateful for the connections I’ve made along the way. If you’re considering joining, I hope you know that your Baby Class can become so much more than just a group of girls you recruit with—it can become a group of lifelong friends who make your college experience that much more special.
Joining Bluebonnets also gave me the best family—shoutout to 67tousemoggerfam! I love my fam so much; they’ve been the real backbone of my time in Bluebonnets and proved how fast friends can turn into your people. They're always in my corner no matter what, and I genuinely couldn't imagine my college experience without them.
One of my favorite memories from Bluebonnets has been Big-Little. It was such a special week filled with so much excitement, laughter, and love—one that I know I’ll never forget. Getting to bond with my Big and my fam made the experience so meaningful, and finding out who my beautiful Big was made it even more special. Throughout the entire week, I felt so loved, welcomed, and appreciated. More than anything, I felt like I could truly be myself, and that feeling made me incredibly happy. Big-Little showed me just how special the friendships and connections you make in Bluebonnets can be, and it’s a memory I will always cherish.
We are so beyond excited for this recruitment season and this semester. I truly cannot wait to meet every single one of you! My biggest piece of advice as you go through the process is to just be authentically yourself, ask questions, and trust the journey.
